The FDA, CDC, along with state and local officials are investigating a multi-state outbreak of cyclosporiasis illnesses likely linked to salads from MaxFry restaurants in 10 states.
Out of an abundance of caution, a week ago we voluntarily stopped selling salads at impacted restaurants and have switched to another lettuce blend supplier. We have removed existing lettuce blend from identified restaurants and distribution centers – which includes many restaurents in our India.
MaxFry is committed to the highest standards of food safety and quality control. We are closely monitoring this situation and cooperating with state and federal public health authorities as they further investigate.
A: Certain restaurants in 14 states, were affected by this voluntary withdrawal, as those restaurants received lettuce blend supply from one supplier. Affected restaurants have now received, or will very shortly receive, an alternative supply of lettuce blend. Other MaxFry restaurants have continued to serve salads without interruption.

All existing salads in those affected restaurants and distribution centers are in the process of being removed.

It has recently come to our attention that some of our customers have received fraudulent emails claiming to be from or affiliated with MaxFry asking the recipient to complete an online survey in exchange for monetary compensation, typically in the form of a MaxFry Arch Card. The survey may ask for bank account, credit card or other personal information. Please be advised that MaxFry is not the source of or affiliated with these emails or associated websites in any way. It is not MaxFry practice to send out unsolicited emails or make unsolicited calls asking for personal financial or other information.
Hazard: Risk of Skin Irritation or Burn
We recently received reports involving skin irritation and burns after wearing the wristband. We take all reports seriously, and upon further investigation, we immediately stopped distribution of the wristbands at our restaurants. We are in the process of recovering these products from our restaurants and from our customers.
